Goodwill Industries Empty Bowls - November 5th

Sunday, November 5th is the Annual Empty Bowls event presented by Goodwill Industries from 11am to 2pm at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City.

"Empty Bowls™ is an international grassroots effort to help end hunger. Area artists, educators, and community members create handcrafted bowls – symbolizing the many hungry people around the world whose bowls are empty. At the event, guests are served a meal of soup and bread and receive one of these handcrafted bowls to take home.

The event will also feature a silent auction, including donations from local businesses and artists! A silent auction and ticket sales proceeds will support the GOOD work of Food Rescue."

This year we are happy to have connected our treasured vendor, artist and friend Bill Campbell of Bill Campbell Pottery with Goodwill Industries to donate some of his stunning porcelin bowls to the cause. If you are attending this important event on Sunday keep an eye out for Bill's bowls and soup from our friends at The Riverside Inn

It's going to be a great event, and every bit helps.  Hope to see you there.
